In the fall term of 2020-2021 academic year, English Preparatory Class lessons will be given in both online and face-to-face sessions (hybrid model). The main principles of the model have been listed below. All the necessary details regarding the English Preparatory Class lessons will be explained to the students in the orientation sessions, which will be held online on October 19-20, 2020. In the meantime, we recommend you read the frequently-asked questions part on our website.

Department of Foreign Languages

The main principles of the hybrid model in the Department of Foreign Languages
1.    English Preparatory Class lessons will be given both in online and in face-to-face sessions.
2.    Face-to-face sessions will be only held with students who wish to come to the campus.
3.    Students who do not wish to attend the face-to-face sessions will be able to obtain the academic outcomes via distant learning (online sessions). The details regarding the program will be announced on CATs.
4.    Face-to-face sessions will be held on Ataköy campus.
5.    Distant learning (online sessions) will be conducted by the rules specified in the Distant Learning Directive of the Department of Foreign Languages.
6.    Instructors and students are obliged to read and obey the rules specified on https://backto.iku.edu.tr/en website.
7.    Based on the changes in the pandemic conditions, hybrid model decision will be reviewed and the updates will be shared with the students accordingly.
